Matthew Kluk, PhD student in the History of Art and Architecture led a conversation with British-Chinese photographer Yan Wang Preston as part of the 2020 FotoFest Biennial in Houston, TX in July. As a portfolio reviewer at FotoFest in 2018, Matthew was invited to recommend an artist for inclusion in a group exhibition at this year's biennial. Preston brings a unique binational perspective to her photography which interrogates the complicated relationship between humans and the natural environment from a variety of different perspectives. The conversation was recorded on YouTube with a Q&A following.
