Barbados

We are delighted to announce that Bill Skinner completed his dissertation, Mass Housing with Technical Aid in Welfare State Barbados, 1936-63, advised by Professor Itohan Osayimwese. Josie Johnson (PhD, '20), currently at the Cantor Arts Center at Stanford University, also completed her dissertation All Eyes on Russia: Margaret Bourke-White’s Soviet Photobook, under the direction of Professor Doug Nickel. She was chosen to deliver a talk at the annual Symposium on  the History of Art at The Institute of Fine Arts of New York University and The Frick Collection based on her recently completed dissertation. Dominic Bate, PhD candidate, recently published an article "Succeeding while Failing: The Tapestries of Jacob Christoph Le Blon that Never Were, 1725–1733" in The Journal of Eighteenth Century Studies.
