HIAA Associate Professor Holly Shaffer Receives Tenure

Holly shaffer standing and speaking with studentsProfessor Shaffer came to Brown after earning her doctorate in the History of Art from Yale University in 2015, and a Mellon Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Humanities at Dartmouth College. Professor Shaffer specializes in 18th and 19th century art and architecture in South Asia, Britain, and the British empire and is currently working on her second book, The Belly of Empire: Food, Art, and the Cultivation of Taste across India and Britain, 1750-1850.
