Students in Professor Sheila Bonde and Lindsay Caplan's class, an introduction to the global history of art, architecture and material culture, presented their final projects in List Art Building this month. Students were asked to create artwork and then write reflective essays based on the pieces they learned about in class. The class spans cave paintings to installation art. The course examines visual strategies of representation and explores the varied ways in which art shapes and reflects cultural, social, religious, and political concerns.
