Congratulations to So Jeong Lim and Olivia McCarthy-Kelley

These awards honor the memory of Professor Molholt Vanel who taught in the department from 2008 to 2014. It commemorates her deep interest in travel and museum experience.

Christ Two seniors have been awarded Rebecca Molholt Vanel Flexible Fund awards to support their honors thesis research. SJ Lim is writing her thesis on a double-sided processional icon, one side of which depicts the hodgetria and the other the Crucifixion. She will be traveling to Turkey to research these pieces.

Olivia McCarthy-Kelly's honors thesis, Architects of National Identity: Debates of Authenticity and Architectural Heritage explores the architectural consequences of tourism on the preservation of historic religious venues in Yunnan, China.
