Journalist Kristin Romey quoted HIAA Professor Sheila Bonde, in her April 13, 2020 National Geographic Coronavirus Coverage story on how the fate of the Cathedral of Notre Dame is in question because of the lockdown of France in response to the threat of COVID-19. Professor Bonde feels that, "very hard decisions are going to have to be made" to balance the need for social services during the pandemic and the desire to "rebuild the heart of a town by rebuilding its symbolic center."
