Professor Moser delivers three lectures

Assistant Professor Jeffrey Moser has three talks scheduled for the month of November 2021. He will discuss several aspects of his research on the Northern Song era in medieval China.

On November 4, 2021, he presented a lecture at the National Gallery of Art, entitled, “The Empty Tomb: Moral Depth in a Medieval Chinese Cemetery.” Professor Moser currently serves as the Paul Mellon Senior Fellow at the Gallery’s Center for Advanced Study in the Visual Arts.

On November 12, 2021, he will give a talk sponsored by the Center for Chinese Studies at the University of California, Berkeley, entitled, “The Qingming Handscroll as Moral Instrument.”

On November 15, 2021, he will present “Making Antiquity in a Northern Song Cemetery” for the Center for Chinese Studies at University of California, Los Angeles.

Each of Professor Moser’s lectures is virtual, free and open to the public.
