Biography

Fosca Maddaloni studies the production of ceramic and silver in China and Europe during the late Middle Ages and Early Modern period. Her research focuses on artisanal practices and knowledge, workshop organization, labor, and aesthetic regimes. 

Before coming to Brown, she earned an MA in Art History from the Institute of Fine Arts of NYU and an MA in East Asian studies from Sapienza University of Rome, Italy.
